Rob Williamson
Co-Owner 

 

Rob Williamson has always enjoyed a passion for the outdoors and his current role as owner of Trees Plus, a full service tree and landscaping company, provides an optimal opportunity to grow that passion. 

 

 Work ethic, integrity, enthusiasm, continued education and community involvement have been constant themes throughout Rob’s professional career. Prior to acquiring Trees Plus, Rob enjoyed success in the golf industry as a General Manger for Walt Disney World Golf, American Golf and Meadowbrook Golf properties. Under his leadership, each property he managed experienced unprecedented growth in revenue.

 

Rob graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Sociology. He serves on the City of Fort Walton Beach Beautification Committee/Tree Board and is The Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Emerald Coast Science Center.  He is an ISA Certified Arborist and his professional affiliations include the ISA, TCIA, Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC), Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) and the Society of Municipal Arborists.


Rob currently lives in Bagdad, Florida with his wife Amie and their two children Annabelle and Hilton and was recently named The State of Florida’s 2009 ‘Outstanding Professional’ by the Florida Urban Forestry Council. (FUFC)

Amie Williamson
Co-Owner  

 

Amie Williamson currently lives in The Historic Village of Bagdad with her husband Rob (the other face of Trees Plus) and their two children, Annabelle and Hilton. Amie handles all aspects of sales and marketing, brand awareness and advertising for Trees Plus. 

 

Prior to her life at Trees Plus, Amie spent over ten years in business to business sales in corporate America, working for corporations such as ADP, CareerBuilder.com and Robert Half International. Deep within the sales trenches of these organizations, her passion for sales and business development exploded and resulted in some noteworthy accomplishments.

Amie graduated from Florida State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She has been a Licensed Florida Realtor Since 2004 and is a member of the Pensacola Young Professionals, Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce, Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Directors for the
Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, and is an affiliate member of the Navarre Board of Realtors and Emerald Coast Association of Realtors.

 


 

 

Derrick Sammons
Director of Landscaping 

 

 
Derrick Sammons joined Trees Plus as the Director of Landscaping in September 2009. In this position, he is responsible for assisting the company in many capacities including project manager, landscape contractor, landscape design, irrigation installation, tree installation and preservation, integrated pest management and landscaping consultation. Derrick has extensive knowledge in turf management and will use this experience to lead the Trees Plus Landscaping Division.
 
Prior to Trees Plus, Derrick served in positions with some of the most respected golf courses along the gulf coast including Lake Forest Yacht and Country Club, Hidden Creek, Tiger Point, New Orleans Country Club and the Country Club of Mobile. His responsibilities included course and turf maintenance, landscaping, pest maintenance, irrigation, and lawn installations. In addition, he has worked at events on all three golf tours: PGA, LPGA, and Champions, including the US Women’s Open.
 
Derrick is committed to professional development and is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America, the Mississippi Turfgrass Association, and the Gulf Coast Superintendent’s Association. He is also an active member of the Hadji Shrine.
 
Sammons earned a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with an emphasis in Golf and Sports Turf Management from Mississippi State. He is a native of Pensacola Florida where he resides with his 6-year old daughter, Erin.
